As we know Surface Book 2 is the most powerful Surface laptop ever; built with power and versatility to be a laptop, tablet, and portable studio all-in-one.
When Microsoft introduced the Surface Book 2 1.5 years ago, it released two models for the first time: 13.5 inches and 15 inches. The Surface Book 2 13-inch version is available in Intel Core i5 without a separate GPU version at a lower price. However, the Surface Book 2 15 inch version does not have this option. It is only available with the Core i7-8650U, 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and entry-level Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics.
As time goes by, Microsoft really wanted to lower the entry barrier for its first-party hardware. In February last year, Microsoft introduced a model with a 128GB SSD, so the 13.5-inch model starts at $1,199. Now, the 15 inch model entry is reduced again.
According to foreign media reports, the 15-inch Surface Book 2 new model has appeared in the retail list, (SKU QKK-00001) equipped with Core i5-8350U, 16GB memory, 256GB SSD and integrated graphics. According to the Canadian Best Buy list, it will be released on June 18. In the US, it is priced at $1999, which is a significant discount compared to the current price of $2,499 for the 15-inch Surface Book 2.
Foreign media also pointed out that Surface Pro 6 will also launch a new model, (SKU P6A-00001) equipped with the eighth generation Intel Core i5, 16GB memory and 256GB SSD, priced at $1,399, has been demonstrated, but has not yet announced the specific Release date.
